In the centre of Munich, in the immediate vicinity of the Central Station a new city district has been created with office, commercial and residential buildings, the heart of which is the elongated, spaciously landscaped Arnulfpark®. The main theme behind the whole urban development area of the Arnulfpark site is “compact, urban, green”.
For the design of the Skygarden it was therefore important to integrate generously dimensioned gardens and green lungs not only at ground floor level but stacked up high and therefore ensuring that even at higher levels offices are provided with access to a garden and in ecologically high-quality surroundings.
The 44-metre-high tower by the Hacker Bridge is the prelude, its entrance halls and sky gardens enclosed by a glass casing. The façade is divided up by white, closed rendered sections which meander across the building along ceilings and closed wall sections
